TH5 – Caned Rocking Chair by Sue Ann Ketchum
Using silk thread, learn to cane the front and back panels of
this laser-cut rocking chair. Techniques taught will include vertical and horizontal
thread settings, horizontal and diagonal weavings, and finishing the panel edges
with binder cord. A color coded thread reference board and caning chart simplifies
understanding the caning process. Easy assembly of the finished caned panels
into the side frame pieces and insertion of stretcher bars complete the rocking
chair.
