TH7 – Marie, Celebrating Mardi Gras by JoAnne Roberts
Marie’s costume is of blue taffeta with black accents. The
lower portion of her full skirt has an attractive foot trimming consisting of
a flounce of pleated fabric in a rippled effect headed by a narrow scalloped
black lace and topped with a shell ruching. Directly above it is black lace
cutwork with diamond shaped cutouts and a fleur de le trim. Her bodice is form
fitting with a black lace overlay. The sleeves are fitted and finished at the
bottom with frills, while the top portion has a lace cap sleeve with an array
of blue and black bows. A feathered headpiece and mask complete her outfit.
