8:00 a.m. to 12 noon
S8 - Oriental Garden by Sally Manwell

This workshop was designed to be a companion to the Friday workshop, The Asian Theme Room Box. However,
it also makes a beautiful stand-alone piece. Students will install a bamboo fence and learn techniques for putting down grass. Then make a small tree, Japanese iris, a bamboo plant and a “stone lantern” out of jewelry findings. Stones, “dirt” and a bush will be supplied to finish your garden. Students will also put together laser cut shoji screens and stain and install the floor section. The small area on the side has room for a few of pieces of furniture that can be added at a later time.
Minimum skill level: Beginner ¼” Scale $57
