Planning for a Mini-Play Weekend at Unicoi State Park is nearly done.  Please mark your calendar and join us just outside of the alpine village of Helen in the mountains of North Georgia from April 30 – May 2, 2010 for “Weekend in Bavaria.”  A special surprise by the designing divas of Cat Wingler, Debbie Young and Jane Payne is a fabulous ¼” scale workshop for participants in our retreat. The workshop is TWO adjoining structures that can be transformed into the shops of your dreams! We hope you will come play with us.

The official opening begins on Friday evening with registration at 4:30, and ends at noon on Sunday.  Come early and see the sights of Helen for inspiration for the workshop! Just think of all the possibilities for your shop:  it could be a coo-coo clock shop, bier garten, a funnel cake shop, or quilt shop.  We'll have activities galore, a very different kind of sales event we think you'll enjoy,  ticket sales for some fabulous fun helpers, lots of sharing, and tons of fun. 

The registration form for our event will be posted on the NAME E-3 website (http://name-region-e3.tripod.com) on November 1st.  It will not be necessary to wait until the 15th to mail your form to our Registrar as all registration on or before the 15th will be considered as first day postmarks.  Since we want to encourage new memberships in NAME, our party will be open to non-members beginning on November 30th.

Registration Fee: $80 for NAME members and $90 for non members (Note: Membership will be verified thru the NAME office.)

There is no airport transportation to Unicoi State Park and Conference Center, so participants traveling by air will need to rent a car at the airport.  Helen is located approximately 2-3 hours from several air ports (Atlanta, GA, Greenville, SC or Chattanooga, TN).  It is a nice scenic drive from any direction and will be well worth the trip for this great weekend. We hope you'll pass the word around and plan to join us the end of April for what we think will be a really fun filled and casual mini retreat.
