November 2025 - Let's Set the Table

For November, we asked you to send in a picture of a table set for an occasion.

Our challenge sample comes from Barb Antol who writes:

Here are a couple photos of one of my 1:12 scale dollhouse tables set for Thanksgiving dinner. The turkey patterned china was from Etsy shop Twelvetimesmoreteeny. My table isn’t very big, so I use a tea cart to hold the roast turkey and all the fixins.

Elegant dining room with set cream table, red cushions, wine bottle, cabinet, and colorful wall art.

From Marie Aright:

For this scene, I created a warm and inviting holiday table.

The ivory table is dressed with a textured terracotta runner and set with classic red-and-white dinner plates, polished silverware, and delicate glassware. At the center sits a beautifully detailed roast turkey, surrounded by side dishes like green beans and other traditional favorites — all perfectly scaled to feel real and welcoming.

The room is anchored by a soft cream china cabinet filled with tiny curated pieces, giving the space a collected, lived-in charm. A bold, colorful wall painting adds a touch of personality and warmth, balancing the soft neutrals of the furniture. And in true whimsical fashion, two little dogs stand nearby, as if patiently waiting for the holiday feast to begin.

From Dee Cirilli:

I love purple, so when I found the purple dishes just had to make a table setting. My original intent with all these items was a bed and breakfast. Items I had purchased came together to make this lovely dining room. This ended up in a wine crate with a bedroom and attic above the dining room.

From Anne Renwick:

Here is my entry for the "Let's Set the Table" challenge. Actually, two pictures of two different Christmases in the same house (I couldn't decide which to send).

The house is now in a museum, and they have all the Christmas decor so I'm looking forward to seeing how they set the table this year.

From Elizabeth Lubera:

For this month’s challenge I am sending a table setting from my favorite miniature creation: a Victorian home called “the Little House on Willow Tree Place.”

In the full view, we see a table set for a Saturday evening supper in the family’s cozy kitchen.  The round clawfoot table – a magnificent Bespaq Victorian style creation, custom-stained by Jane Newman – is surrounded by four intricately carved (and caned) chairs for father, mother, daughter and son -- and a high chair for the baby of the family. In the background, we see a savory stew warming (in a Stokesay Ware baking dish) on the cook stove. Warming nearby is a tea kettle from one of my favorite miniature stores, the Singing Tree in London (sadly, no longer open).  Just out of view on the work table is an apple pie, ready for dessert. Other notable items include the exquisite cuckoo clock on the back wall, made by artisan Keith Bougourd, and the tiny Alice in Wonderland figurine, hand-painted by Robert Olszewski for a 1982 Goebel Miniatures limited edition collection.

The detail view shows the table setting, which includes Blue Willow plates (to match the room’s wallpaper) made by Ellen Krucker Blauer. The fresh plate of croissants and butter (that I made from yellow FIMO modeling clay) will provide a perfect complement to the stew. Bon appétit!

Cozy dining room with round wooden table, four cane chairs, set tableware, and a small fireplace in back.
Mini glass terrarium with a small dining room scene, table set with plates and pastries on green flooring.

From Susan Sharratt:

This glass container lives on my dining room table. Each month I change the scene to reflect that month. This month, November, is dedicated to Thanksgiving. The table is set with a turkey which a friend made for me, china for two, and the usual accompaniments: peas, cranberry sauce and a pumpkin pie. I only made the pumpkins - this was before I discovered FIMO and now I make many foods myself! A china turkey decorates the table.

From Gail Stuart:

It's the season to make cornucopias!

From Lois Lindeman:

I made this for my daughter because she has always loved blue willow dishes.

From Brenda McDougall:

Here are some pictures of the tables in my little Victorian tea shop called “Lavender Rose Tea Room”.  The chairs were kits from Chrysenbon, but the rest of the furniture I made myself. The shop was made from a “Sweethearts” cottage kit that I kit-based to remove the room dividers on both floors. My cottage won second place at the 2025 Vancouver Dollhouse & Miniature Show.

From Ann-Cary McLain:

First picture - A 1" scale Thanksgiving feast... The "genuine walnut" stamped table was from my mother's childhood. The pumpkin pie with turkey legs was a prize I won. The whole scene is one of my seasonal scenes that alternates under a plexiglass dust cover and decorates my front hallway.

I made the furniture from basswood. The fireplace was purchased from Hobby Builder's Supply.

All the food made by me with Fimo, except the peas and carrots, they came with the dish. The red jello is a button, displayed on a button with a thumbtack base.

From Kathy Koons:

These are some of the tables I made for Jane Harrop's 2024 Advent calendar build, Ivy's Tudor Tea Room. The tables are set with the typical tiered plates of goodies, both savory and sweet, as well as tea sets.

My husband, older daughter and I have had the pleasure of having afternoon tea at Mackintosh at the Willow in Glasgow and at Kensington Palace in London. These tables are reminders of those very special occasions.

From Judie Dresser:

From Vicki Scidmore:

This room was a Calif. State Day project in 1993 (Dinner for Two). I made it a 50th Anniversary dinner for my parents. Their wedding picture is on the wall with pictures of my brother and me. The calendar is their date in Oct. with a fighter plane on it for my dad. The spoon collection on the wall is for my mom. The gold flowers are for 50th plus they had yellow roses for the wedding.
