2026 Create Annual Holiday Swap



It’s time for our annual Swap opportunity. So get busy thinking about that! You only have a few weeks to sign up….. til October 30th.

WHAT CAN YOU SHARE THAT IS AN AMAZING "CENTERPIECE" for your table, buffet, coffee table, etc.?


That is the theme of this year’s swap,  “Centerpieces” for any occasion or just everyday. It could be seasonal, holiday realated, any day or every-day related. Think about what you usually have out on the center of your table when it’s cleaned up for guests or family. Or what do you keep as a centerpiece on your coffee table, buffet or sofa table? Most people do have some kind of décor on these surfaces.


Here are a few sample suggestions to get you started (and we’re sure you can think of many more):


  • Flower bouquet with a couple of candlesticks
  • Arrangement of candles with beautiful candlesticks
  • A small scene such as a collection of snowmen on a mirror base with a few sprigs of pine around it
  • A bowl of beautifully arranged fruit on a lovely table runner with a few leaves inserted for color and decoration
  • A cornucopia of flowers, fruit, vegetables with fall leaves scattered around and so much more
  • There are loads of great ideas on Pinterest

Guidelines for each entry:

  • You can participate one time in each of the scale of swaps (1", 1/2", 1/4"), if you want, or you can just enter one scale
  • Click on sign up button below to submit your information
  • SIGN UPS WILL CLOSE ON OCTOBER 30TH.  Absolutely no entries after that date.

THE PROCEDURE:

  • Think of what you will make.
  • You will send 7 finished items for each scale of swap you have signed up for. One of these items will be a donation to Create for future fundraising or Prizes. You will receive back 6 items for yourself. You will not receive your own item back so make an extra for yourself if you want one of your own.
  • Value of your swaps should be between $5.00 and $10.00 if you were buying them at a miniature show or store. Be sure you would want to receive this item yourself as a swap.
  • Place EACH item in a very small bag or box with a label in it. LABEL should contain your name and email. (Recipients like to thank the others for their swap)

 

 Barbara will send you her mailing address when you sign up for the swap. Send your 7  

 swaps and shipping payment ($8.00) so they will be received by Barbara no later than   

 December 1st.   At this time, due to unsure tariffs and shipping prices, we cannot include

 people outside of the US. We are so sorry about that and hope we can reinstate other

 countries next year.

  • Shipping Payment can be a check made out to Barbara Thornton-Hill OR Paypal to bathca@gmail.com
  • Deadline (absolutely NO extensions) for receipt of your swap items is December 1st, 2026.

 

Packages need to be small so please make your swap as small as possible
